Inscribed on verso by Lou Stouman, who tries to recount the facts of Buscemi's death, but gets some details wrong.

According to text accompanying a retrospective of Buscemi's work, his last words were to Merle Miller, one of the Yank correspondents who covered the Pacific War and was with Bushemi at Eniwetok. He said: "Be sure to get those pictures back to the office."
